About Southlake Youth Centre !

The Youth Centre is funded by the Department of Community Services to provide social and recreational activities for youth in the south Lake Macquarie area.

The Youth Centre regularly conducts “youth groups” at a variety of locations which are open to all young people.

The aim of these groups is to use leisure time as an opportunity to enhance social skills, develop conflict resolution strategies and increase awareness of issues affecting young people including

- health
- living skills
- entertainment
- community resources
- referral and advocacy

Young people are our responsibility only while they stay inside the centre where there is supervision.
